Black Crowes Reject Maxim Magazine's Apology

The Black Crowes have rejected an apology from Maxim magazine after they accused the publication of fabricating a review of their new album. The rockers were left fuming when they discovered the magazine had given forthcoming LP Warpaint a negative rating without listening to the entire CD, forcing editorial director James Kaminsky to issue a statement apologizing for the blunder. But the group's manager, Pete Angelus, has hit back at the magazine, insisting the company has not been held fully accountable for the incident. He tells Blabbermouth.net, "Maxim's fabrication of an album review is highly unethical and indefensible. This issue potentially pertains to all artists and their craft, and a publication which apparently has no respect for either.
"It comes as no surprise that Maxim has elected to apologize to their readers now that the world has been informed of their deception; however, that is not full accountability.
