Kevin Jonas Gets Engaged!!

Kevin Jonas of the Jonas Brothers has suprised fam including me on his engagement to his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa.

The pop star, 21, reportedly dropped to one knee after showing up unannounced at Deleasa's home in New Jersey on Wednesday morning after flying in from a Tuesday night concert in Vancouver, Canada. According to People.com, he presented her with a custom made cushion-cut diamond ring.

Jonas said, "It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world. She said yes, yes, yes, like, 500 times super fast in a row."

A statement from Denise and Kevin Jonas, Sr. reads, "Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage... It is such a blessing that she will be joining our family."

Aww that is so sweet. I'm happy for them. Good luck in the futures.

Wayne Makes Arizona Court Appearance

Rapper Lil Wayne has appeared in an Arizona court on drug possession and weapons charges. Wayne was ordered by a judge to attend Tuesday morning's pretrial hearing.

His attorney says he told the Yuma County Superior Court judge that the U.S. Border Patrol hasn't turned over records the defense requested months ago. The judge set another court date for Aug. 11.

Carter was arrested at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 8 east of Yuma in January 2008 after authorities said they found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus. He faces one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs and weapons misconduct.

Carter previously pleaded not guilty to all charges. Let see what happens.

Rapper/singer Drake, who signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money label a year ago, has the biggest buzz in hip-hop right now. Major people like Bun B, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Ryan Leslie, DJ Green Lantern, The Alchemist, MC Lyte, BET's Stephen Hill, Warner Music Group CEO Lyor Cohen and Warner Music Group COO Julie Greenwald is a testament to that.

Jay-z = NO DEF JAM!!!

Jay-z is officially not with Def Jam anymore. The rapper confirms that he has left the record company where he made most of his biggest hits and went from artist to president, and back to artist again.

After having an interview with Web site RapRadar.com, he thanks the label's executives and calls his time at Def Jam "a unique and fulfilling experience."

Last year, Jay-Z and Live Nation struck a wide-ranging deal that included touring, publishing and albums. Jay-Z had owed Def Jam one more record. A representative for Jay-Z declined to elaborate on his comments.

And The Winner Of American Idol Is...

Kris Allen was crowned the "American Idol" Season 8 champ on Wednesday night (May 20), after nearly 100 million votes declared the 23-year-old Conway, Arkansas native the winner over runner-up Adam Lambert.

During the two hour season finale, contestants were paired with veteran recording artists for duets. Allen broke out the guitar with Keith Urban to perform the country singer's "Kiss a Girl".

Allen's victory came as a surprise to "American Idol" followers, particularly those who frequent "American Idol" blogs and fansites. Between the two Season 8 finalists, Adam Lambert has topped Kris Allen in blog buzz by an average of about 51% since both singers made the Top 36 in Feburary, according to Nielsen BuzzMetrics. And while overall buzz for both has grown as the pool has narrowed, 16% more bloggers mentioned Adam Lambert instead of Kris Allen on May 19 after the final performances aired.

Rapper Dolla Shot and Killed!!!

Rapper Dolla was killed in a shooting at an upscale shopping mall, and a man was arrested for investigation of murder, police said Tuesday, May 18th.
Los Angeles County Coroner's spokesman Ed Winter said the man killed Monday afternoon at the Beverly Center was 21-year-old Roderick Anthony Burton II, the birth name of rapper Dolla.
Police said in a statement Tuesday that Aubrey Louis Berry, 23, of Atlanta, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport with a gun Monday night. His bail was set at $1 million.

T.I. Drops Rapper Alfamega From Grand Hustle Label

Rapper T.I. released artist Alfamega from Grand Hustle because he lied about his past that claims the latter was an informant for the drug enforcement administration during a trial on a heroin trafficker.

"Even though all our artists and employees are asked by us to be honest and open about their past history, at no time did Alfa disclose to me or Grand Hustle what has now appeared in the media," T.I., said during an interview on Atlanta’s 107.9 radio station. "He essentially deceived us by failing to fully disclose the truth about his past, and there is no place in our organization for dishonest and misleading behavior. As I have always said, you must take responsibility for your own actions. We at Grand Hustle can not support or condone the blaming of others for our own mistakes. I hope and pray to God, bless his savings plans, but I don't foresee me or my company playing a role in his personal or professional business."

One of my favorite rock bands Daughtry is releasing their second album "Leave This Town" on July 14th. The album was recorded in LA and produced by Howard Benson. The first single is "No Surprise" and the album will have more than twelve tracks.

Chris Brown's Lawyer Wants The Case Dismissed!!!

Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, told TMZ on Wednesday that he wants the case against his client dismissed because of leaks.

“Leaks can form the basis for a motion to dismiss the case in regard to outrageous governmental misconduct,” Geragos told TMZ outside a Los Angeles courtroom.

A new hearing has been scheduled for May 28. Brown currently faces twofelony charges on assault and criminal threats.
