Kanye West, Common, Method Man and Redman are named in a copyright-infringement lawsuit filed by the daughter of the late jazz saxophonist Joe Farrell. Kathleen Firantello's suit claims her father's 1974 song "Upon This Rock" was sampled without permission on 'Ye's "Gone," Com's "Chi-City" and Meth and Red's "Run 4 Cover." She is asking for $1 million in punitive damages and demanding that no future sampling of her father's work occurs.
