Double-O Badly Assaulted

Double O from the hip hop group Kidz In The Hall was assaulted by several bouncers early Saturday morning, July 26, while inside a nightclub in Tempe, AZ following a Kidz In The Hall performance. Group member and friend Naledge, who did not witness the assault on Double O, was arrested outside of the club. Naledge's attempt to get medical assistance for Double O was misconstrued as a hinderence to the investigation. Reports that no injuries were sustained are false as Double O was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries from the excessive force used by club security. On Sunday morning Double O underwent surgery for one of his injuries. He is still in the hospital, but in stable condition.

In the last 2 years, Kidz In The Hall have traveled to over 10 countries, have done 200+ shows and never before been involved in any altercation, big or small, with club or concert security, or police officers.

Trina and boyfriend Kenyon Martin from the NBA were involved in a car accident in Belize this past friday. The couple was traveling in a police motorcade on their way to the airport when their Ford Excursion crashed into a minivan on the highway.  Trina and Kenyon were accused of the accident.

Kanye West teams up with MTV for a new show titled "Homecoming"

Kanye West teams up with MTV's Sway for a special "Choose or Loose" one hour show based on Iraq's veterans. Kanye will visit the homes of these veterans and surprise them with some goodies and also talk to them about their experience in Iraq. Kanye told MTV  “There are hundreds of veterans out there who are falling through the cracks,” West said in the statement. “They make the ultimate sacrifices for us by laying down their lives, but it seems like a lot of them just get forgotten about. I know my music inspires and helps a lot of people but you can always do more. I teamed up with MTV and took the opportunity to share the spotlight with these veterans and hear their stories.” You might be asking yourself why did MTV choose Kanye? Well according to MTV  “In conversations with veterans over the last year, it became clear that Kanye’s music is used by soldiers in Iraq as a way of connecting to home,” Executive VP for MTV News & Production Dave Sirulnick said. “Once these veterans return home, their stories are so moving that you can’t help but want to do the right thing and help them out.” 

“Choose or Lose & Kanye West Present: Homecoming” airs Monday (July 28) at 10 PM.

Dr. Dre Hopes To Drop Detox This Year

Dr. Dre hopes to drop his album Detox sometime this year. He has been talking about dropping this album for 3 years now, he has been procrastinating for a while so hopefully he drops it this year. His album will be featuring Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Nas and producers Scott Storch , Just Blaze and Hi Tek. He told USA Today   "I'm just now — over the last couple of months — starting to feel that it's going to be right and it's something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it, "In a perfect world, I'm shooting for a November or December release."

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has staged his most bizarre collaboration yet - teaming up on stage with former Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie. The legendary axeman joined the pop star at her show in Costa Mesa, California on Friday to perform a host of rock anthems including his former band Guns N' Roses' hit "Sweet Child O' Mine."
When welcoming him on stage, Fergie paid tribute to her hero, ntroducing him to some of her younger fans. She told the crowd, "Some of you little ones may know him from (video game) Guitar Hero, but I know him from a band called Velvet Revolver and a band called Guns N' f***ing Roses!"

Mad about that! I would've loved to see them perform. Slah is one of the greatest freakin guitarists ever!

Troubled British star Amy Winehouse wants five children with jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil - including identical twins. The singer plans to settle down and start a family with her husband, who was sentenced to 27 months in jail on Monday after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and perverting justice.

If You're Not the One was my favorite songs in 2002. The man that brought you the#1 hit single in 2001 " Gotta Get Thru This", Daniel Bedingfield is also pop singer Natasha Bedingfield's brother. Daniel hasn't recorded anything lately. Daniel was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and has said the experience has been reflected in his song-writing (sorry to hear that Daniel).
I really hope they can conrol his disorder, he;s a really talented artist, and I would love to hear more music from him.
