Performing for Good Causes
On November 28, 2007. Fans packed Katra on Bowery for a goodcause. The lovely Jade an artist under Precize Production/GFCnewyork warmed up the crowd with her alluring voice performing a few of her hits including Drown Me Out & Set Me Free. Keep your ears open for Jade that young lady is a problem.
After Kapps
& Live Wire
of the Hiphop Project moved the crowd (literally moved the crowd) with a great performance & a lil help from Cocoa Saraii & Clyde from Clyde & Harry Productions.
The two of them are both individual artists but, but together they are unstoppable(the way Macho Man Randy Savage & Hulk Hogan used to be back in the days on WWF Wrestling). All proceeds went to Flo Humanity Foundation & CuCu Foundation. (Pics will be posted up 2nite)

R-Kelly boots Ne-Yo off of the Double Up Tour
I'm sooooo NOT late on this info, it was just that I was too busy being a fat lard bastard the whole week of Thanksgiving (if you know me, you know I'm nowhere near fat...just greedy as hell) lol.
But anywho... This nigga Robert otherwise known as R. Kelly is killing my soul. After only two performances, R-Kelly had Ne-Yo dropped from the Double-Up tour. The reason being the lacking of a signed contract (Alleged fucking ly). This came as a total shock to not only fans...but Ne-Yo as well. Ne-Yo spoke about the situation on some of our favorite radio stations and stated that he never met R-Kelly in his life, he also said that he was doing everything possible to make the tour a success, and that he could've atleast told him face to face. Ne-Yo also said that he still respects Kels as an artist, but he no longer respects Kels as a man. Do you wanna hear my opinion on this? Wrote a song about, like to hear it? Hear it goes......
(clears throat and begins to sing)
Ne-Yo I swear its Deja Vu
Kels shitted on you & Jay-z too
So here's some advice from me to you
you wont get the boot if he's BETTER THAN you
Ne-YO I SWEAR ITSSSSSSSS DEJAAAAAA VU!!!!
(Walks off doin the Beyonce)
**Okay okay, so I threw in an extra line in... yall mutha fuckas get me!
Street Cosignor Question: Does the R in R-Kelly stand for Robert or Ramona?
Street Cosignor Answer: It's posssible b/c its obvious that if you're out shining Kelly he will try to fuck up yo shit. That was a bitch move. Honestly I stopped respecting kelly as a man when he pulled his last stunt at the best on the Best of Both Worlds tour... with the pepper spray bull & all that. Dis nigga is a trip! I'm sure most of the women bought the tickets for Ne-Yo & J-Holiday anyway(RME)!

In Loving Memory of Dr. Donda West
My heart goes out to Kanye West as he mourns the passing of his mother. I remember when the Late Registration 1st came out I had 3 songs that were my favorite We Major, Addiction, & Hey Momma. As soon as I heard these lyrics I started crying, immediately reliving my mother's passing. When I got word that Kanye's mom had died the first thing that came to my mind was the Hey Momma song. When I watched Kanye on the news as he broke down on stage at his concert in Paris, I broke down as well. Everyone says they know what he's going through. But if you haven't experienced the pain of losing the person that brought you into the world, especially if you had a very close relationship with your mother, there is absolutely NO WAY you can imagine what this young man is going through. I know!! I lost my mother in 1998 this year on February 2nd 2008 it will be 10yrs since my mom passed & I still mourn her every day & cry every night wishing she was here for me & my 2 younger sisters. So with that.....I'd like to send my condolences to Kanye West & keep him in my prairs & let him know that he will get through this & keep living as long as he keeps his mother's spirit in his heart!

Rewind by Nas
I like to go visit my boy Sledge & politic on music. This specific day, we decided to get on Nas & pick his Top 10 songs out of all the joints he's ever made. Then Sledge said "I bet you wont mention the song that has to be 1 of the dopest joints Nas ever made" & he was right I didnt. But it wasnt because the song was hot. Its because only a few niggas be on my level as far as music is concerned. This track was 1 of the most slept on songs Nas has ever released.
This Nigga wrote a song BACKWARDS & it made sense. That is so BANOODLES to me.
Rewind-Nas off the album Stillmatic 2001
Listen up gangstas and honeys with ya hair done
Pull up a chair hon' and put it in the air son
Dog, whatever they call you, god, just listen
I spit a story backwards, it starts at the ending
The bullet goes back in the gun
The bullet hole's closin this chest of a nigga
Now he back to square one
Screamin, "Shoot don't please"
I put my fifth back on my hip
It's like a VCR rewindin a hit
He put his hands back on his bitch
My caravan doors open up
I jumped back in the van and closed it shut
Goin reverse, slowly prepared
My nigga Jungle utters out somethin crazy like, "Go he there"
Sittin in back of this chair, we hittin the roach
The smoke goes back in the blunt, the blunt gets bigger in growth
Jungle unrolls it, put his weed back in the jar
The blunt turns back into a cigar
We listen to Stevie, it sounded like heavy metal fans
Spinnin records backwards of AC/DC
I give my niggas dap, jump out the van back first
Back upstairs, took off the black shirt
I'm in the crib with the phone to my ear
Listen up so y'all can figure out the poem real clear
The voice on the phone was like, "Outside right we"
So with my mouth wide, holdin my heat
Bullets I had plenty to squeeze, plenty for ya
'Cause Jungle said, "Block your on enemies the"
Hung up the phone, then the phone rang
I'm laid in the bed thinkin 'bout this pretty young thing
Who left, she came back, her clothes just fell to the rug
She fell to my bed and gave me a hug
I told her, "No hell"
She talkin 'bout, "Me kiss"
Bobbed her head then spit the nut back in my dick
Started suckin with no hands, a whole lotta spit
Then got up and put her bra back on her tits
Got fully dressed and told me, "Stressed really I'm"
Picked up her Gucci bag and left her nigga behind
Walkin through the door, she rang the bell twice
I vomited Vodka back in my glass with juice and ice
The clock went back from three, to two, to one
And that's about the time the story begun
That's when I first heard the voicemail on the cell
It said, "Son we found that nigga we gotta kill"
[Message Beep]
Ay yo son, ay yo son, you hear me, you hear me?
Listen man, this dude right on the block, right now, man
I found him, right now, I see him right now!
Let's kill him)

Kapps Interview
SC: Name
Kapps:Thelonious Kapps
SC: Age
Kapps: Classified
SC: Where did you get your name?
Kapps: Back when I was a young kid, I used to kill people sometimes. Thats where I got the name from "Bullets/Kapps" I used to hurt a lot of peoples lives and stuff. (LOL) Nah the TRUE STORY behind that is: I'm Kapps when you see me on stage, when you see my shows its very captivating to watch and Thelonious came from I'm inspired by Thelonious Monk but I'm definitely thinking about changing my name and using my real name Theophilus London but thats a different story.
SC: A lot of people have been referring to you as the Michael Jackson of Hip Hop. How does that make you feel?
Kapps: WOW!! That makes me feeling amazing! That’s my inspiration. That’s the reason why I do this. Before I perform I always watch him and talk about him 24/7 ask anyone who's around me. I think Thriller was the most genius album ever and it’s still selling today. 104 million records sold. So for someone to compare me to that and the general music I'm making, Man thas the best artist in the world. I love it man.
SC: What process do you go through when you’re writing your songs?
Kapps: When I wrote Thelonious, I got the beat from this cat overseas. I don’t have a computer at home so I went to the Apple store in Soho, and I put it on my on my ipod. I lived on Nostrand at the time, so it was like a 20-minute train ride. All I have to do is get in the groove. People were looking at me on the train like I was crazy, like "what is wrong with dude?” I'm feeling that! But to tell you the truth I really don’t put anything down on paper unless I need to. If it’s a complicated flow, I put it down. You just feel that energy. You don’t need to put it down on paper because it’s all in your head. You definitely need the melody, rapping is cool, but people recognize melodies. They don’t recognize rap.
SC: Who’s your favorite artist?
Kapps: My Favorite artist is Michael Jackson.
SC: What separates you from the emcees coming up and the emcees that are already in the game?
Kapps: I understand music and I understand the point of making timeless music & thats what I want to do. I feel a lot of emcees in the game are making music for the time. You got the snap records, you got the group records, the screwed up, chopped records, the I'm the cool guy records, but that’s now. Make music that’s timeless! Make music that’s timeless! Make music that’s forever! Make music that’s history! Make music that 100 years from now, you will still buy it because its felt.
SC: What can we expect from Kapps in 2008?
Kapps: Wow! The whole big deal is there’s no contract. I'm getting in. It's amazing and everything is going good. I'm definitely coming out with an album in 2008. It's going to be released in Best Buy, Itunes, all that. Definitely going to see videos. I'm working with the dude (Collin) who shot Jay-z's video Roc Boys. We’re about to get a permit in Times Square to shoot a video performing live for everybody. Everything is coming really good. It's gone be crazy. 2008 is going to be 2000 & EAT!
SC: What producers are you working with?
Kapps: The producers, I'm working with are Jimmy Edgar; he's dope, Clyde & Harry, & Machine Drum. I’m just dealing with straight Family. My label could get me the Swizz Beats, Just Blazes, & those guys, but I want to work with my family
SC: Speaking of the label your working with, you know I’m the Street Cosignor & I hear all the shit in the streets and word on the street is that you have a pending deal. Can you tell me if it’s closed, who is it with?
Kapps: Its like 2 days closed. I'm speaking to my lawyers now. I got this amazing deal and I don’t think I can turn it down. I cant tell you who' its with until we really really close the deal. I'm going to invite you to the record party (Street Cosignor holds Kapps to that invite) It's going to be dope. I'm so excited. Lub's (Lubna-GF) been on my side from day 1. We're both really excited and we're both knd of scared but its something new and I'm ready fro it. I'm so ready for it!
SC: Whom would you like to collab with in the future?
Kapps: I'd definitely like to do a song with Madonna; Prince if he's up for it, Stevie Wonder, Timbaland, I think is really dope. Pharell is another dude that’s amazing, and if possible you already know whom..."The Thriller Man" Michael Jackson.
SC: I’ve seen you perform a numerous amount of times. You’re all energized and shit when your performing & bring so much excitement to the stage, What gets you hyped up for your shows, what gets you motivated?
Kapps: This is what I do, & I hate myself for this. My body knows when I’m going to have a show. I either start losing my voice right before or my throat starts itching. I’m not going to lie I do get butterflies, but as soon as I step on that stage its like my home. I’m in my home cooking up some pasta. I just get on there and get loose. I feel like I’m in my hometown. When I’m on that stage. I feel like I’m in my room performing in my mirror like I did as a kid. That’s what it is. I just give that energy to the crowd. I’ve even performed at venues where the audience didn’t clap at all. It’s all about you having fun on stage. If you get worried about the crowd….then damn, you can be performing in front of an opera crowd and don’t know if they feeling you or not because they don’t clap or jump up until its over and you can mess the whole thing up. So just go on stage and do your thing and feel it in your heart. You got to feel the groove, that beat and do your thing!
SC: What’s with the camera you be rocking on your neck?
Kapps: The camera…. Man this is where it’s at! To be a real emcee you have to start your own trends. Don’t get caught up in fads, because if you get caught up in fads, it eventually ends. That means your career will be over. So if everyone came out rocking No sleeves, DON’T DO IT, if everyone is rocking rope chains, DON’T DO IT! Be timeless! People stop me in the streets when they see this. I was buying Chinese the other day & I said “Lemme get some chicken wings” & the guy was like (in Chinese accent) “No No” “what’s this on your neck?” Chicks stop me in the streets; dudes stop me in the streest, (I be like dude, do you really feel comfortable with stopping me in the street dog, looking on my neck like you a chick?) that’s crazy! So everyone gets excited over this. This is my kaleidoscope. When you look through it, you look like a fly. I think that’s dope. This is like my rope chain, so when I get on it’s going to be all platinum & diamond up. But right now it’s just cardboard. Everybody gets the point…. It’s My Thing!
SC: Underground Cosigns:
Kapps: Live Wire definitely, Mickey Factz another one definitely, Print, Outa Sight, this chick I’m working with named Bunny Rabbit she’s dope, Cocoa Sarii, & Jimmy Edgar.
SC: Street Cosigns:
Kapps: Ummm Geesh!I love the New Jay-z album (American Gangster) I’m cosigning that, definitely feeling that. I’m kind of feeling Kanye, he’s been going all out. I’m just waiting to see what he’s going to do for his next project because he’s done everything, its like what else can he do? I’m saying I’m here now. I’m here now! Family it’s Kapps! You already know what it is! My girl LaFemme, I love her. I love her.
***Street Cosignor Fact: Thelonious Kapps has signed his deal with a Major record label. No further information will be given at this time.

Let the Church say Amen!
My blog caters to music of all kind. I've been hearing a buzz thru the net about a Japnese Gospel Choir who truly sings from their soul. I gotta call from my girl Christal(wuddup) who tipped me off that they were gonna be in New York. So I took a trip to Haven International Ministries home of Overseer Richard Hartley. It was such a great concert that 90% of the audience couldn't sit down! There I got to enjoy beautiful gospel music. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mariah Carey's vocal coach Melanie Daniels(whose vocal cords will put Ms. Carey's to shame any day), & Dr. Edwin Hawkins who is known for his smashing hit "Oh Happy Day", as well as the Infamous Tokyo Mass Choir that was mentioned earlier.

Jam Master jay's murderer had A Distinctive Tattoo!!
WOWWWWWW!! A distinctive Tattoo?!?!? Its been Five years since the case Jam Master Jay (Jason Mizell) the Dj Hip Hop pioneer group RUN DMC was gunned down in his studio October 30, 2002. Its been Five years and investigators still have little information on the gunman. An unidentified witness who was in 24/7 Studios the night of Jason's murder said that the killer had a tattoo on his neck...wait the paper read a "DISTINCTIVE" tattoo on his neck(lets not leave that big word out.(SMFH) The witness now reports that another witness would be essential to the case if he'd only speak up. We're losing alot of our Hip Hop artists in negative ways for unknown reasons. The only logical answer we can come up with is pure jealousy. If this continues "HIP HOP is DEAD" wont be just the name of a song but a KNOWN fact!

Mickey Factz Interview
Street Cosignor: Don't give me no half ass answers, TALK YO ISH!!!
Street Cosignor: Name
Mickey Factz: Mickey Factz a.k.a. Heaven's Fallout
SC: Where you from?
MF: I'm from the Boogie Down Bronx. The place that birthed this rap sh*t.
SC: When did you decide that you wanted to become a rapper?
MF: When I heard Big Daddy Kane in 89. Ain't No Half Steppin. That did it for me. I love him to death for that record.
SC: Who are your rap influences?
MF: Big Daddy Kane, Big pun, Big L, Biggie, Jay-Z, Kanye West. The lyricists.
SC: You have a mixtape dropping on November 2nd titled Heaven's Fallout, How did you come up with that name?
MF: Basically, I'm looked at as a fallen angel. I'm here to change the way music is perceived by the masses, so we are changing the way music is viewed as well as other aspects of our culture.
SC: Did you collab with any artists on the new mixtape?
MF: I worked with Nakim, Jesse Boykins, Freaky Will from Ed Banger Records, Precize, WhyteBone, and the whole GFC family. It was really a solo album for me.
SC: If people wanted to get a copy of your new mixtape, where can they get it?
MF: They can download it for free on November 2nd at GFCNY.COM. We give great music like this away.
SC: You've dropped 5 mixtapes in 2 years, when other cats are still struggling to make 1, What advice can you give other artists that are trying to put out mixtapes?
MF: You have to have a game plan and stick to it. If not you will definately get sidetracked with so many other life issues. I take my mixtapes very seriously. I recorded them like albums. I advise artists to treat all their releases like its their last ones and give their all into it.
SC: What is your favorite mixtape out of all 5 that you have released?
MF: Currently, my favorite would have to be Heaven's Fall out and not just because it's my latest mixtape but because this is the most innovative and musical mixtape and musical mixtape I've ever created. It was also th fastest mixtape done. It was done in 3 months.
SC: What is your all time favorite Mickey Factz song?
MF: Wow, this right here is an awesome question. I would have to say Talk To Ish. Because I helped produce the beat and its so infectious and everybody is catching on to it. So that right there is the best and it's on Heaven's Fallout!
SC: Do you have any ideas for your next mixtape yet?
MF: The next release will be my album or Ep, which is titled "It'z Mickey!" After that Flashback Vol. 2 and Heaven's Fallout 2 will be released. I'm also working on a mixtape with Curtains titled Big Trouble In Little China.
SC: What are your strengths as an artist?
MF: My strengths is my ability to write a song about anything and make it catchy to the people's ear. I'm also very charismatic and boisterous. I have glow about me that can't be denied. My show performances are impeccable and I am extremely versatile.
SC: What are your weaknesses as an artist?
MF: As an artist I am sometimes stubborn. My A & R can attest to that. Sometimes there are certain things I won't do. But if I'm prodded enough, it'll get done. So I think that will be my weakness. I'm stubborn when I get to that point.
SC: I just heard an exclusive freestyle that you recently released called " American Mickey", where you addressed a few situations that occurred in 2007 ex... kanye's 'Knonichiwa", Crush management, & Mickey's love Mallory(who was featured on a lot of the tracks you did in the past) Can you elaborate on these?
MF: Ofcourse. I'll start with the Crush Management situation. I had recorded Never Fallout with Nakim and we released it. They got wind of it and showed interest in the song. They were goin to release an official remix with me, Travis from the Gym Class Heros, Kanye, and Lil wayne. I was pumped. Then other people started ending up on the song and we didn't like the direction of that so we declined to be on it. That severed ties with Crush Management on their behalf's. Kanye and Travis was in the booth with me during that time. He asked to hear one of my songs so he could goat about one of his songs. i played hime Rockin & Rollin and he went nuts! I said "Konichiwa B**ches" on that record. I also said it on my verse for the Arms Race Remix. Two weeks later its on Barry Bonds. Funny Right? As Far as Mallory/Drizz. That's my sister in crime and sometimes family problems get out of hand and people lose sight of who is really lookin out for your best interest inside and outside of music. Drizz knows that I would do ANYTHING for her. But when things pick up we'll be back as a tandem an I'm not worried at all.
SC: We know Mallory is Mickey's Musical soul mate, for the women who are inquiring is thre a Mrs. Factz?
MF: Ofcourse there is a Mrs. Factz. What the hell is wrong with you? Hip Hop is my wife. LOL.
SC:Whats good with the labels? Anyone hollering at Mickey? Meaning what labels are cosigning Mickey Factz?
MF: What labels are Cosigning Mickey? I would have to say every label I have been to assisting Mickey Factz i some type of way. I'm just currently looking for the right situation. But yes they're all hollering.
SC: There's a lot of artists signed who are type wack, who do you feel doesnt deserve to be in the rap game and why?
MF: I feel everyone deserves to be in it. Because it's a business and some people's grind is different from others. I just feel some really good emcee's are suffering and not getting the paper they deserve for there lyrical talent.
SC: Underground Cosigns?
MF: Curtains, Cool Kids, Freaky Will, Kid Sister, Kid Cudi, Jade, Kapps, Smoke & Numbers, Nymemsis, Nakim, whytebone, Precize, Ave, Charlie Clips, Oun P...So many of em.
SC: Street Cosigns?
MF: Kanye and Jay-Z. Holla!
